PREPARATIONS for the 2025 Mashonaland West Provincial Agricultural Show, set for August 6-9, are progressing smoothly, with over 80 percent of exhibition space already booked.

At least 120 exhibitors are expected to participate in this year’s event. The show will run under the theme “Climate Smart Agriculture: Industrialisation for Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security,” aligning with the Government’s Rural Industrialisation Agenda and Vision 2030 goals.

Mashonaland West Agric Show chairperson, Mr Godfrey Mavhankeni, told journalists at a press briefing at the showgrounds on Monday that the 78th event is expected to attract hundreds of farmers and exhibitors.

“We will also have international guests, including a delegation from Namibia’s Kavango East Region, marking a milestone in agricultural diplomacy,” he said.

This year’s programme highlights include a high schools quiz launch, agribusiness conference, livestock exhibitions and the first-ever livestock and farm produce auction.
