Preps for Sanganai/ Hlanganani on course

Harare — At least 137 exhibitors have so far registered to showcase their products at the annual premier tourism expo, Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair that runs from October 10 to 12 this year.The premier tourism showcase has been set for the Harare International Conference Centre. Zimbabwe Tourism Authority public relations manager Mr Sugar Chagonda told New Ziana that of the registered exhibitors, 18 were foreigners. “Preparations for the Fair are underway and are going on well,” he said.

Mr Chagonda said as part of the on-going preparations, ZTA was recruiting buyers for the Sanganai/Hlanganani fair.
“We are recruiting local, regional, and international buyers. We are working closely with industry so that we get credible buyers,” he said. The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair is an annual event which the ZTA organises.

It showcases the widest variety of Africa’s best tourism products and attracts international visitors and media from across the world. Mr Chagonda urged more exhibitors to register with ZTA.

“We urge people to come aboard and book space to exhibit products and services and this year’s showcase,” he said.
The fair targets national tourism boards, embassies, airlines, tourism destinations, tour operators, suppliers of goods and services, investors and hoteliers.

Participants at Sanganai/Hlanganani have an opportunity to meet and network with exhibitors, visiting buyers, investors and suppliers of services to the tourism sector from all over the world.

This year’s edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani comes hot on the heels of the 20th edition of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation general assembly that Zimbabwe and Zambia co-hosted. — New Ziana.
