President begins annual vacation

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe left Harare yesterday for his annual holiday in the Far East. The President is expected back in Zimbabwe in mid-January.

In his absence, Vice President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is the acting President.

VP Mnangagwa took his oath of office before President Mugabe last Friday along with VP Phelekezela Mphoko and a number of Cabinet ministers in the wake of the highly successful Zanu-PF 6th National People’s Congress.
