FANS of former Generations actress, Katlego Danke, popularly known as Dineo, were dealt a major blow after she failed to make it to Bulawayo on Friday.

Little Dinnie was billed to make a guest appearance at Victory Fellowship Church’s theatre night in Bulawayo together with Rhythm City’s Zintle Ncipa who made it for the show.

Dumisani Nkomo, organiser of the show, said Danke had trouble securing documents for her child to travel to Zimbabwe for the show.

“Dineo couldn’t make it here because she had trouble with travel documents for her daughter. She was expected to arrive at the Joshua Nkomo Airport on Friday afternoon,” he said.

Danke’s absence, however, didn’t spoil the fun as a 25-member cast staged a well polished act.

They did a theatre play of the story about the birth of Jesus.

The production The First Christmas directed by Tshepo Dube, had a modern day feel to the original Biblical story.

Ncipa was at a loss for words at what she saw on stage saying it reminded her of when she began her acting career.

“I enjoyed everything I saw on stage because it reminded me of the days I started my acting career. I’ve a passion for theatre and enjoyed the plays,” she said.

The South Africa-based actress said she would scout for talent for a feature film that would be shot here in the near future.

“As a director and producer, I’m working on a feature film called Ziyanda that we’re going to shoot in Zimbabwe. We will work with Zimbabweans on this production,” Ncipa said.
