President Mnangagwa has called for the cell/village registration exercise to be expedited to ensure the effective deployment of information communication technologies for the creation of a comprehensive, authentic and verifiable party membership database.

Addressing the 377th Ordinary Session the Politburo this morning Zanu PF First Secretary President Mnangagwa called on the Commissariat Department, supported by the respective wings, to lead more energetically, to entrench this culture.

“Similarly, clarifications regarding party mobilisation, restructuring and co-options as well as disciplinary procedures must be clearly explained to our structures,” he said.

“In this regard, our constitution is the fundamental point of reference. The effective deployment of information communication technologies for a comprehensive, authentic and verifiable party membership database is taking too long.

“Where there are hurdles, challenges must be identified and the requisite technical partnerships sought to bring traction to this issue. We have talked enough and now demand concrete results.”

All organs of the party, he said must always discharge their duties in line with the dictates, rules and regulations of the revolutionary party.
