The graduands were drawn from faculties of industrial and manufacturing, electronic, chemical and financial engineering, food processing technology and computer science.
Speaking during the ceremony, HIT acting vice chancellor Engineer Quinton Kanhukamwe appealed for support to improve service delivery at the institution.
“The institute requires extensive support in its transport department.
“The university needs a staff bus, vehicles for student internship visits and research as well as utility trucks for routine operations,” he said.
Eng Kanhukamwe said projects which had commenced earlier were all at stand still.
He said the institution had introduced two new products namely Information Security and Assurance and Software Engineering.
“These programmes are expected to respond adequately to the unprecedented dynamics and growth of the Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) sector,” he said. — New Ziana.
