He was 49.
Born at Mpilo Central Hospital, Cde Nyamuhwe died on Tuesday at a Bulawayo hospital after being unwell for some time.
He is expected to be buried at his rural home in Chipupuri Village in Chief Mutasa’s area in Manicaland tomorrow.
He joined the liberation war in February 1976 in Mozambique. He was trained in 1978 in Libya. At independence, Cde Nyamuhwe, whose Chimurenga name was Joe Chimurenga, went to Joko Mutoko, and
Chitunguze Assembly assembly points.
He was then attested into the Zimbabwe National Army and was posted to 1.6 Infantry Battalion in 1981 and 1 Air Defence Regiment in 1983.
He had liberation campaign, independence, 10-year service, long and exemplary silver, Zimbabwe-Mozambique and DRC campaign medals.
His widow, Mrs Nellia Nyamuhwe, and four children survive him.
