President commends ZDF

President Mnangagwa has today commended the Zimbabwe Defence Forces for its professionalism and being dependable, saying this has helped in keeping alive the ethos and values of the liberation that saw Zimbabwe attain independence in 1980.
The Head of State and Government, who is also the Commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, said this in his keynote address during the 44th ZDF commemoration held at Rufaro.
“I commend the ZDF for keeping alive the rich liberation ethos as well as the intricate principles and values deployed at the establishment of a united security apparatus in 1980,” said President Mnangagwa.
“Equally your defence of our national interests as embodied in our national Constitution, over the years has been exemplary and unflinching.”
