member of the Presidential Guard.

“On behalf of Government and my own behalf, I want to convey my deepest condolences to the Mukotekwa family on the passing on of Private Jeoffrey Mukotekwa at Parirenyatwa Hospital following a traffic accident.

“Private Mukotekwa was part of a team of very able men from the Presidential Guard that I have worked with for a very long time,” he said.
President Mugabe said Pvt Mukotekwa was loyal in his duties.

“Always loyal and dependable, the late Mukotekwa lost his life when the vehicle he was travelling in burst a rear tyre and overturned. May I wish all the Comrades in the same accident a speedy recovery,” he said.

Pvt Mukotekwa and seven other members of the Presidential Guard were injured on Wednesday when their Toyota Landcruiser burst a tyre and overturned along the

Robert Mugabe Highway near Kutama Mission.
They were part of the Presidential escort that accompanied President Mugabe to Headman Enock Chimbamauro’s burial in Zvimba.
