Mrs Ncube died on Tuesday. President Mugabe said he learnt of the death with deep sorrow.
“This sad departure of Cde Ncube’s beloved wife creates a huge gap in the life of not only Cde Ncube himself, but also the lives of the children who now have to face the future without their loving mother, herself a pillar of strength. All of us in the party know what Cde Ncube is going through now that he has lost a lifelong companion. On behalf of the party Zanu PF, my wife and my own behalf, I wish to condole with the Ncube family on this their sad loss.”
Mrs Ncube succumbed to a kidney failure at Mpilo Central Hospital aged 56. She has been declared a liberation war heroine. Her husband, seven children and five grand children survive her.
