President Emmerson Mnangagwa arrives to launch the Zimbabwe Multi-Sectoral Drug and Substance Abuse Plan 2024-2030

HARARE, Zimbabwe – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived at State House to launch the Zimbabwe Multi-Sectoral Drug and Substance Abuse Plan 2024-2030.

The comprehensive strategic plan aims to catalyse a multi-sectoral approach to effectively address the growing challenges of drug and substance abuse in the country.

 In his remarks, President Mnangagwa is expected to emphasize the plan’s importance in mitigating the threats posed by this crisis to national security, public health, social stability, and economic development.

 The plan will also focus on supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by drug and substance abuse.

Key stakeholders from various government ministries, law enforcement, health services, and civil society are in attendance for the launch event.
