President Mnangagwa has launched the Second  Phase of the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme here in Mt Darwin Mashonaland Province.

Apart from launching the ERRP2, which will see roads being rehabilitated across the country, the President also commissioned the critical Karanda Bridge which will enable communities easy access to the famous Karanda Mission hospital that does not only service Mashonaland Central but the whole country.

“This launch is indeed a key milestone, as Zimbabwe  forges ahead with modernizing the national transport infrastructure, which is a key enabler for economic growth and development,” he said.

The President exhorted  relevant Government departments to speedily implement the rehabilitation programmes.

“It is my expectation that as we roll out this strategic national programme, prudent financial management, good corporate governance, accountability, transparency and value for money remain guiding principles. Corruption of any form will not be tolerated,” he said.
