President launches National Disability Expo

President Mnangagwa has launched the National Disability Expo here in Gweru and committed to remove barriers that impede the well-being of people with disabilities.

The President said his Government will take measures to ensure that people with disabilities, who constitute 15 percent of the population, are not left behind as the country marches towards Vision 2030 to become an upper middle class economy.

“Under the Second Republic we leave no one behind and no place behind. We plan tomorrow today, the world is changing its now a world of technology, I have brought hundreds of computers for your use because it is important that we learn more about technology,” said the President.

The Expo is running under the theme: ‘Disability mainstreaming and inclusion for a prosperous and empowered society which leaves no one behind.”
