Commencing with a Politburo meeting on Tuesday and a Central Committee meeting on Wednesday, the conference has attracted over 4 000 delegates from across Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces.
The three-day event, concluding tomorrow, aims to address critical issues affecting the nation.
Key topics on the agenda include the state of the party, the economy, food security, social services, and poverty eradication. Delegates will also discuss macro-economic stability, engagement and re-engagement strategies, inclusive growth, and infrastructure development.
Other significant areas of focus include value addition and beneficiation, provincial economies, environmental concerns, tourism, and the roles of religion and culture in society. Additionally, the conference will address important matters related to women’s affairs, youth affairs and sports, and the needs of war veterans, ex-political prisoners, detainees, and non-combat cadres.
As the ruling party seeks to solidify its agenda and respond to the challenges facing the country, the conference serves as a platform for dialogue and decision-making among party members. With a diverse range of topics to be discussed, the conference is expected to shape Zanu PF’s policies and strategies moving forward.
