President Mnangagwa has commended the Conference Organising Committee and the Resource Mobilisation Subcommittee for organising a hugely successful Presidential Fundraising Dinner Ball.

Addressing the 398th Politburo meeting today, which marked the beginning of the 23rd Zanu PF National People’s Conference, President Mnangagwa said the party remains open to increased support and engagement.

The call comes after the mobilisation committee, led by Zanu PF Central Committee member Cde Phillip Chiyangwa, raised more than US$9 million towards the conference.

“I sincerely thank the Conference Organising Committee and the Resource Mobilisation Subcommittee for organising a hugely successful Presidential Fundraising Dinner Ball in Harare. Congratulations on a job well done,” said President Mnangagwa.

He also commended the well-wishers and members who generously donated towards the party’s conference.

“As the curtain comes down on the party’s 2025/2026 calendar of events, marked by the convening of the conference, we have every reason to be pleased with our administrative performance. The party’s oversight and continued engagement with Government and other stakeholders resulted in the successful adoption of an array of reforms,” he said.

President Mnangagwa said the Politburo and the party as a whole must never shy away from harnessing specialist skills from across society to sharpen their approaches, policy proposals and effectiveness.
