President Mnangagwa leads Burial of National Hero Cde Jaison Chirinda

HARARE, Zimbabwe — Today, President Emmerson Mnangagwa is presiding over the burial of Cde Jaison Chirinda, a revered National Hero, at the National Heroes Acre.
Cde Chirinda passed away on October 27, 2024, due to complications from diabetes at the CDM Diabetic Centre in Harare.

In a tribute to his legacy, the Zanu PF Politburo, led by President Mnangagwa, unanimously conferred National Hero Status on Cde Chirinda, honoring his significant contributions to Zimbabwe’s Liberation Struggle, as well as his efforts in fostering unity and development in the post-independence era.

Cde Chirinda is survived by his wife, Monica Chirinda (nee Muchenje), and their six children, who are mourning the loss of a dedicated leader and father.
