President Mnangagwa has left Harare for Luanda, Angola, to join other world leaders for the 7th African Union-European Union Summit that seeks to consolidate cooperation between the two blocs.

The summit brings together Heads of State from Africa and the European Union for important engagements on ways of strengthening international cooperation.

Zimbabwe’s participation gives impetus to its engagement and re-engagement thrust, as President Mnangagwa has been consistent that Harare is a friend to all and enemy to none.

The two-day summit celebrates 25 years of formal partnership between the AU and EU.

President Mnangagwa was seen off at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice President, Dr Constantino Chiwenga; the Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Province, Senator Charles Tawengwa; Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Cabinet Ministers, senior Government officials and Service Chiefs.
