President Mnangagwa presides over HIT graduation ceremony

President Mnangagwa has presided over the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT)’s graduation ceremony.


A total of 709 students graduated. At least 649 graduated with undergraduate degrees and of these 46,7 percent are female.

Forty-seven students graduated with Masters degrees, and 38,6 percent of these were female, while 3 graduates, all of them female graduated with Postgraduate Diplomas.

Females this year constituted the highest number of undergraduates with first-class degrees.

Before conferring the degrees, President Mnangagwa unveiled the tertiary institution’s Tram- Urban Mass Transportation System Proof of Concept and Research Centre.
