President Mnangagwa rallies Warriors

President Mnangagwa has led messages of support to the Warriors ahead of the African Cup of Nations opener this afternoon.

The Warriors open this year’s edition of the nations cup with a mouth-watering tie against powerhouses Senegal led by Liverpool talismanic forward Sadio Mane.

In a post on his micro blogging site – Twitter – President showed the country’s full support of the senior men national soccer team.

“Warriors! All of Zimbabwe is behind you today! I am certain that you will make our country proud,” reads President Mnangagwa’s post.

Meanwhile, national coach Norman Mapeza has set out an attacking team but has omitted France based Tino Kadewere from the starting 11.

On the other hand, Senegal team is blighted by Covid-19 infections, Chelsea goalkeeper Eduardo Mendy and captain Kalidou Koulibaly are among the players who returned positive results.
