President Mnangagwa is now fully vaccinated after receiving his second dose of the Sinovac vaccine at Kwekwe General Hospital.

Speaking before getting his vaccine shot, President Mnangagwa said he was “encouraged by the ongoing uptake of the vaccine by the targeted groups in both phases”.

“A total of more than 300 000 have received the first dose, while an excess of 36 000 have received the second dose,” he said.

He warned the country against complacency and disregarding current health guidelines and protocols.

President Mnangagwa was accompanied by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, who is also Minister of Health and Child Care.

The event was also attended by leaders of various political parties.
