Addressing thousands of party supporters at Mkwasi Primary School in Buhera North after commissioning the Sabi Star Mine Floatation Plant, President Emmerson Mnangagwa thanked party supporters for overwhelmingly voting for Zanu PF.

“I want to thank the people of Zimbabwe for voting for Zanu PF. In Parliament, we have a majority, and the same applies to the Senate. We had 11 Presidential candidates, and the winning candidate was from Zanu PF.

“Here in Manicaland, out of 26, you have won 21 seats as Zanu PF. The other five are urban constituencies which went to the opposition CCC. The one we lost in Chipinge, we lost it because we failed do our things the right way, otherwise that seat was supposed to be ours.

“We lost it because we failed to organise ourselves properly. I congratulate you Manicaland, well done. You raised the Zanu PF flag high,” said President Mnangagwa.
