PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA is today set to officially open the 57th Eswatini International Trade Fair here at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre.
The event, which runs under the theme “Digital 2.0: Creating Business Networks”, began on August 29 and will conclude on September 8, 2025.
The trade fair has attracted a wide range of local, regional and international exhibitors, showcasing products and services in sectors such as technology, agriculture and more.
Zimbabwe is being represented by four companies participating in this year’s edition, highlighting the country’s commitment to regional trade and economic collaboration.
President Mnangagwa arrives

President Mnangagwa has arrived at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Eswatini, where he will officially open the Eswatini International Trade Fair.
He was welcomed by host King Mswati III, with the event also attended by former South African President Jacob Zuma and former Botswana President Ian Khama.
The trade fair has drawn local, regional and international exhibitors, showcasing products and innovations across various sectors.
President Mnangagwa’s participation underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties within the region.
Cabinet Ministers also in attendance

Invited guests, including Zimbabwean Cabinet Ministers, are also in attendance at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Eswatini for the opening of the Eswatini International Trade Fair.
Among the ministers present are Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira and Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Eswatini Mr Victor Matemadanda.
The event has also welcomed the Royal Wives of Eswatini, adding to the distinguished gathering of regional and international dignitaries.
President Mnangagwa officially opens 57th Eswatini International Trade Fair

PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA has officially opened the 57th Eswatini International Trade Fair at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre, praising the event for promoting technological advancement and regional collaboration.
President Mnangagwa thanked King Mswati III for the invitation to the trade fair and the Umhlanga Reed Dance ceremony.
He highlighted the historic bond between Zimbabwe and Eswatini, noting that both countries, once united in the struggle against colonial rule, now march forward together to develop their nations.
President Mnangagwa acknowledged the shared challenges facing the two countries, including climate change, and called for collective efforts to tackle them.
He also expressed gratitude to Eswatini for its unwavering support in the face of illegal sanctions imposed by Western countries.
Commending Eswatini for hosting a trade fair that encourages technological and digital transformation, President Mnangagwa urged businesses to leverage technology to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
He also highlighted Zimbabwe’s initiatives, such as Education 5.0 and a heritage-based curriculum, which are driving economic transformation.
The President called on Eswatini to explore partnerships with Zimbabwe across various sectors, including tourism, culture and trade.
He emphasised the importance of Africans finding solutions to their own challenges, embracing their cultures and fostering regional integration.
The 57th Eswatini International Trade Fair brings together regional and international exhibitors, showcasing innovation, technology and investment opportunities, further strengthening economic ties in Southern Africa.
