President Mnangagwa to preside over Great Zimbabwe University Graduation Ceremony

Masvingo, Zimbabwe – Today, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, who also serves as Chancellor of all State Universities, will preside over the 18th graduation ceremony of Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) at its main campus in Masvingo.

This event marks a significant milestone for the university and its graduates as they celebrate their academic achievements.

The graduation ceremony is part of the Government’s broader initiative to enhance educational standards and promote the concept of Education 5.0, which emphasises integrating teaching, research, community service, and innovation.

This framework aims to align academic programmes with national development goals and foster a knowledge-driven economy.

As the keynote speaker, President Mnangagwa is expected to address the importance of education in driving socio-economic transformation and to encourage graduates to contribute positively to the nation’s development. The ceremony is anticipated to draw a large crowd, including dignitaries, faculty members, and families of the graduates, underscoring the relevance of higher education in shaping Zimbabwe’s future.
