President Xi pens special letter to Zim’s war vets

China’s President Xi Jinping has praised Zimbabwe’s liberation war veterans for being a critical pillar in advancing the two countries’ concrete relations.

In a letter read on his behalf by Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding to 17 war veterans who had written to him two months ago, President Xi said he hoped the veterans continue to bring young people on board in helping strengthen relations between the two peoples.

President Xi said Zimbabwe and China will continue priotitising their historical ties to build momentum that ushers future development.
