PRESIDENT Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe and his Mozambican counterpart, President Filipe Nyusi, are touring the exhibition stands at the 114th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.

The agricultural exhibition has seen significant growth this year, with over 500 exhibitors occupying more than 70,000 square meters of space at the Exhibition Park in Harare. This represents a significant increase from the 410 exhibitors that occupied 53,300 square meters of space at last year’s event.

The expanded exhibition is a testament to the growing interest and importance of the agriculture sector in Zimbabwe and the region. The presence of the two heads of State underscores the strategic significance of the show, which serves as a platform for showcasing the latest agricultural technologies, products, and services, as well as fostering regional cooperation and trade.

During their tour, Presidents Mnangagwa and Nyusi are expected to engage with exhibitors, farmers, and industry stakeholders, discussing strategies to further enhance agricultural productivity, food security, and economic development in their respective countries and the broader southern African region.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show is a crucial event that brings together a diverse array of players in the agriculture value chain, including farmers, agribusinesses, policymakers, and researchers. This year’s edition promises to be a significant milestone, with the expanded exhibition space and the high-level participation of regional leaders underscoring the sector’s importance in driving economic growth and sustainable development.
