Prince Dube returns to light training

AZAM FC striker Prince Dube has returned to light training after spending several months on the sidelines through injury.

“Our striker, Prince Dube, has already started light training and is ready to return to the field for competitive matches,” Azam announced on Tuesday.

Dube was in Cape Town last month for treatment to a hernia injury. He has also struggled with an abdominal ailment since the end of May.

He missed the last games of the previous campaign and only returned to action early this month when he featured in a pre-season friendly match in Zambia.

But the medical issue got complicated again, and the player was sent to South Africa for an operation.

Dube had a fruitful maiden season in the Tanzanian league where he scored 14 league goals to finish third in the race for the Golden Boot.
