PRINT THE POUNDS continued with fine form to win the first edition of the triple crown when he won the $9 000 Zimbabwe Guineas run over 1 600m at Borrowdale on Sunday.

This was Print The Pounds’ fourth consecutive win.

Trained by Bridget Stidolph and bred by Clifton Stud, she was ridden by Derreck David, on her way to victory.

Picalilly, who was bred in Zimbabwe and is owned by Sarah Lumsden but trained by Gee Racing, finished second while Zita was third.

Apart from Zita, the fillies had the upper hand as Eversolucky, from the Gokhan Terzi stable, was fourth. The Bridget Stidolph yard runner also triumphed in the recent Fillies Classic but this time won by 0,25 lens in 1min 35secs. The same stable Terzi also brought Merhaba, a recent winner of a 1 600m Maiden Plate, who finished in fifth place.
