A team of athletes from the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services left the country yesterday to take part in competitions in Polokwane, South Africa.
The officers will clash with warders from Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West Provinces.It comprises 58 athletes drawn from the three Matabeleland provinces of Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South. They will compete in soccer, netball, darts, volleyball for both men and women. The games will be played over two days. Matabeleland Region Sports Officer Samuel Nyahwa said they had prepared well for the championships meant to cement co-operation between the forces.
