THE rehabilitation of the Kadoma-Golden Valley-Sanyati Bridge Road is progressing well, with close to 50 kilometres having been tarred and opened to traffic.

Sanyati Member of Parliament, who is also Mines and Mining Development Deputy Minister Dr Polite Kambamura, confirmed the development.

“The contractors have done and tarred over 40 kilometres from Golden Valley to Sanyati Bridge,” he said.

“This is in addition to other kilometres worked on from the Kadoma (CBD) towards Golden Valley.”

The stretch has 84 kilometres. He added that as part of ongoing rehabilitation works, the contractors are currently working on the 28-kilometre stretch that connects Sanyati Bridge and Nyimo Business Centre.

Provincial roads engineer, Simbarashe Gomo, said the rehabilitation process involves widening and tarring the road that shortens the distance from Mashonaland West’s Sanyati District to Midlands’ Gokwe North.
