“We have been undergoing a rebranding exercise since the beginning of March and the process is ongoing as this is not an event but rather a process,” said PMZ secretary-general and chief executive Mr Peter Banda.
In a statement, the institute said the rebranding is being done in line with international identities of similar professional bodies.
“PMZ has been established to be the national authority on project management with a vision to furthering professionalism and to achieve recognised standards on certification for project managers in Zimbabwe while fostering ethical practices within the global values of best practices,” read the statement.
PMZ has set out strategic objectives in its operations to ensure that it maintains the highest standards in conducting its busin
ess and thus it promotes professionalism by establishing appropriate qualification, code of ethics, research and training for all industries using project management at all levels.
“Among other objectives PMZ strives to provide a form of free exchange of project management information, challenges, proffering of solutions and their possible applications.
“We also want to facilitate, co-ordinate, control and monitor project management software training, sales and installation while promoting and developing project management interdisciplinary skills and resources,” added the statement.
