Zvimba North legislator Cde Marian Chombo with support from the Joseph Kujatira Murambwa (JMK) Foundation, recently toured 17 Zanu PF districts and set up various projects to support communities.
Mutorashanga and Rafingora police stations got office furniture and blankets.
The JMK Foundation said it would renovate Vanad Mine Clinic for the benefit of surrounding communities.
Members of the Zanu PF Women’s League got vegetable seeds for gardening projects, which will feed into the Government’s call to revive agriculture and turn it into an US$8,2 billion sector.
Poultry, piggery and bee-keeping projects have been tabled by the foundation and Cde Chombo for the women and members of the Youth League to create employment.
The tour also saw the girl-child, people with disabilities, the elderly, orphans and other vulnerable people in the constituency getting assistance.
Local health institutions received personal protective equipment.
The donations included buckets, food, blankets, wheelchairs and walking sticks, mainly for the elderly.
JKM Foundation director, Mr Joseph Kujatira Murambwa, said his organisation had been working with vulnerable people and the support for the people of Zvimba came after an assessment of their living conditions.
“In Zvimba, there are many vulnerable people, among them the elderly and people with disabilities,” he said.
Cde Chombo, who is also the Local Government and Public Works Deputy Minister, lauded the foundation’s noble gesture that complements the ruling party’s efforts to uplift the lives of people.
