The two, Vivien Marcow Speiser and Phillip Speiser, both arts specialists, will hold two workshops in Victoria Falls before they come to Bulawayo.
Lewis Ndlovu from Drums of Peace said in a statement that the two workshops would be based on the creative process, which is the basis of the arts sector.
“The workshops are based on the belief that direct personal experience with the creative process fosters the expression of individuals, communities and society. We will create a supportive environment to explore how the creative process carries us to new realms of expression and understanding,” said Ndlovu.
He said the workshops were open to arts genres where participants would be taught creativeness and appreciation of art.
“The workshop will engage varied artistic media — art, music, drama, and dance and establish a community of creative expression where participants can practice letting go of inhibitions, cultivate responsiveness to the creative force, and learn how to witness and support the expression of others,” he said.
He said the “trusting the process” will be a central theme as the groups work together, “exploring creative ways to accept the threats and fears of expression as vital partners in remaking and revitalising ourselves and leading others in our communities”.
He said the workshops were open to everyone.
“One does not need to be either a musician or dancer to attend the workshops. However, if you are a musician you are invited to bring your instrument,” said Ndlovu.
