MG Promotions boss, Maxwell Gissi, is facing accusations of raping his 19-year-old personal assistant, who is also an actress.
The victim met Gissi on his social media handles where he was looking for a personal assistant.
Gissi introduced himself as the owner of MG Promotions and wanted her to work for him as his personal assistant.
He even introduced himself to the actress’ mother.
Just a week into her new job, it’s being alleged, Gissi started making sexual advances to her, including hugging her without her consent.
During the third week, Gissi told her that she was supposed to work late and she complied.
At around 8pm, she tried to leave and Gissi allegedly got hold of her hand, fondled her breasts and raped her.
She disclosed the rape to one of her female workmates who told her she was also a victim.
The actress then decided to quit work and reported the abuse.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.
“Police are investigating a rape case involving an employer and his female employee.
“The complainant reported that she was raped twice on different occasions in the office of the accused person,” said Insp Chakanza.
