TWO youthful promoters Itai “Boss Gaga” Chirombe and his brother Tendai “Boss TC” Chirombe have urged artists to invest wisely so that they will not cry foul at the end of their careers.

The siblings said a musical career was like a footballer’s career, which can be short-lived, in case of injuries.

The two are known for giving both upcoming and seasoned artists a platform to showcase their talents.

In an interview with H-Metro, Boss Gaga said time wasted is never regained.

“There is no night that does not end with dawn.

“Everything has a beginning and it has an end so I am encouraging artists to use the resources they get wisely.

“Things will come to a point when you don’t get anything if you don’t invest wisely then you will start to blame others for your failures.

“Artists should be able to make a dollar out of 15 cents.

“Opportunity comes once in a blue moon and if we don’t use it wisely we will regret it for the rest of our lives.”

Boss Gaga said artists should also have entrepreneurship skills for them to be able to recoup something from their music.

“I think musicians should acquire some short courses which teach them to have good entrepreneurship skills unlike just overspending.

Kumagumo kunenyaya, we want to see continuity after retiring from music.”

Similar sentiments were echoed by Boss TC.

“You have to safeguard your future by deciding wisely while you are still earning.

“There are no miracles and one has to work so hard while you still can.

“We often see artists hitting hard times yet they used to earn a lot.

“Life changes and mari muyenzi inouya ichipfuura so we should consider that too,” he said.

Boss TC said artists should utilise their position to educate their fans about good morals.

“Music reaches a huge crowd and, through music, we can shape the society positively and so we are urging artists to produce songs which do not harm the society.

“As promoters we encourage artists to drop songs which educate and entertain people.

“We want the young generation to shift focus from drugs to things which promote development in this country.

“We can do different projects if we are free from hallucinations.”
