Prophet Madungwe arrested after driving donated car without a driver’s licence

Controversial Harare self-proclaimed prophet Talent Madungwe has been arrested for driving a car he got from Wicknell Chivayo without a license.

Madungwe was dragged to court yesterday, facing charges of negligent driving and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

H-Metro reported that the Epworth Magistrate’s Court heard how Madungwe, who gained attention for his bold religious claims, now faces legal troubles over traffic violations.

Madungwe got a free Toyota Aqua from controversial “businessman” Wicknell Chivayo months ago. Chivayo gifted Madungwe a car because of his hilarious antics, which include claims that he wines and dines with God in Heaven.

However, one of the conditions for getting the car was that Madungwe get a driver’s license.

At the Harare Magistrates Court yesterday, the State revealed that Madungwe did not possess a valid license at the time of his arrest.

Prosecutor Rutendo Nyamutswa asked for the case to be postponed, explaining that the State intended to amend their court papers. The case has been remanded for further proceedings today.

Madungwe’s legal issues have sparked considerable attention, adding yet another controversial chapter to his already notorious public profile. He was released out of custody pending his next appearance.(iharare.com/H Metro)
