Witnesses said the fistfight started when one of the ladies of the night, Siphathisiwe, confronted a colleague only identified as Cleopatra, demanding the money she owed her.
That did not go down well with Cleopatra who was about to have a nice time with a client.
“Siphathisiwe was jealous that one of her loyal customers had opted for Cleopatra and decided to confront her under the pretext of wanting her money back,” said the witness.
Sources close to both women claim that the two ladies of the night hurled insults at each other before exchanging blows and during the commotion the client disappeared into the darkness.
When one of the onlookers tried to intervene she was stopped from doing so by some people in the crowd.
“I was just from work preparing to make a fire as there was no power in the area when I heard noise and quickly went out to investigate. I was dismayed to find out that those women were fighting over $5 and one of them already had her face covered in blood,” said a witness.
An elderly woman who also witnessed the incident said that was not the first time Siphathisiwe had been involved in a fistfight.
