A HARARE woman has been granted a protection order against her nephew who becomes a nuisance whenever he is drunk.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted Siphiwe Ncube’s application against her nephew, Joseph Ncube, after presenting relevant evidence to the court.

Siphiwe accused Joseph of verbally abusing her and being lazy.

“I want him to be evicted from my homestead because he doesn’t respect me anymore.

“Every time he gets drunk, he insults me using obscenities, and waking him up is a war.

“He doesn’t assist with anything at home,” Siphiwe said.

Joseph didn’t deny the accusations and told the court to grant his aunt her wish, saying he is planning to move in with his girlfriend.

“Your Worship, give her whatever she is demanding for I no longer care.

“I have a new girlfriend and I’m moving in with her.

“I’m happy I won’t be bothered to wake up early in the morning or water vegetables I don’t eat,” he said.
