PSL to conduct induction workshop

The orientation workshop, held before the start of each season, is meant to familiarise the newly promoted teams with statutes, club administration, licensing and marketing among other things.
Castle Lager Premiership chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele yesterday said the workshop was likely to be held next month and it was hoped that by then Zifa would have announced the promoted teams.
“We are yet to come up with the date for this induction workshop but it will definitely be held next month. In the meantime we will be travelling to the new clubs’ offices seeing how they are structured
“The issue of the winners for the Central Region is yet to be finalised and we hope by the time we hold the workshop the issue would have been finalised,” said Ndebele.
Zifa Central Region Division One club Hardbody won their appeal against the docking of 42 points by the Central Region Disciplinary Committee.
The club was being accused of using an allegedly irregularly registered player.
Beitbridge’s Tripple B have seven days to appeal against the ruling by the Zifa Appeals Committee.
In the event of the club deciding not to appeal, Hardbody will then be declared the winners of the Central Region Division One League and will join the elite league.
The other clubs that made it to the country’s elite league are Quelaton of the Southern Region, Northern Region’s Harare City and Buffaloes from the Eastern Region.
