HIGHLANDERS coach Pieter de Jongh is a man living dangerously.

The Dutch coach was lucky to escape a booking in his club’s Chibuku Super Cup semi-final defeat to Dynamos at Rufaro on Sunday.

The match ended 1-1 and Bosso lost 5-3 on penalties.

De Jongh gave the fourth official a tough afternoon, constantly fuming at him after decisions by the referee.

And that also included encroaching into the Dynamos technical area in his amplified moment of goal celebration.

PSL communications manager Kudzai Bare said: “We have taken note of the concerns raised, we will review the official match reports and appropriate action will be taken, if necessary in line with the League’s rules and regulations.”

After the game, coach De Jongh did also not spare both the league administration and the match officials of the day.

On the match officials the Bosso coach was particularly infuriated by the Dynamos goal.

He said: “It’s always difficult to play against 12 players. The first goal was a big shame… I give them congratulations but the first game is a big shame… There is no fair play.”

Dynamos won a free-kick close to the center circle, but in Highlanders half. Vusa Ngwenya then quickly passed to Emmanuel Jalai who controlled and unleashed a volley to take the lead.

Highlanders players had little time to react while the long range effort also took the goalkeeper by surprise.
