Premier Services Medical Investments has entered into partnership with a Chinese medical firm, which will see the institution getting affordable high quality and advanced theatre equipment. Supplied by Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Company, the equipment includes an A7 anaesthetic machine with an incorporated ventilator, suctioning and plug-and-play modular application.It also comprises a Beneview T8 patient monitor, a Hybase 6100 operating table, an E5 ventilator synovent, a BeneFusion VP5 infusion pump, an Array SP5 syringe pump and a HyLED 9500 /9700 operating light-equipment that will make the institution’s theatre services world class.
The equipment would be used at West End Hospital in Harare.
Accepting the equipment, PSMI’s managing director Dr Farai Muchena, said the gesture was a great achievement in line with their turnaround strategy meant to brace the latest technological advancements in the health sector.
“This is a great achievement and we are very excited as PSMI to have been accorded this reference status from a global company such as Mindray. This is also a morale booster to PSMI’s clients and partners that respond to our turnaround strategy whose execution will be easier now with this kind of equipment,” said Dr Muchena.
He said he was confident that PSMI’s partnership with Mindray guarantees viability, sustainability and continuity of services to patients.
“Not only does it benefit patients, but also the funders as we are now moving towards low cost products for funders to utilise their funds more meaningfully,” he said.
