A HARARE man has shocked the capital after threatening to stab his own child and kill himself in a twisted fit of rage — all because his ex-wife moved on barely a month after their split.
Steven Kambeva’s meltdown came after he learned that his former lover, Kelly Mupani, was set to tie the knot with another man and now he’s spiralling out of control.
Kelly spilled the chilling details at the Harare Civil Court, revealing that Steven has been stalking her and showing up at her new home with disturbing threats.
“He says he will stab our child with a knife and commit suicide afterwards,” she told Magistrate Meenal Narotam.
According to Kelly, life has become a nightmare ever since she ended things with Steven.
“He’s struggling to accept that it’s over. He keeps coming to my place, insulting me, threatening me and my baby… I live in constant fear.”
Steven, however, denied the horror claims, saying:
“She is lying before the court. I never threatened her or the child. I’m not suicidal.”
Despite his denial, the court wasn’t taking any chances. Magistrate Narotam slapped Steven with a protection order, barring him from contacting Kelly, visiting her home or threatening her in any form.
Scorned, unhinged and dangerous, this ex is a ticking time bomb!
