MORE often, dreams remain dreams because they are kept as dreams without any effort to turn them into reality!

This is the biggest lesson learnt from young Mutare bodybuilder, Denvor Munashe Ngaru’s effort to make his dream known to the world.

After giving Post Sport an interview on his ambitions to pursue the sport of bodybuilding seriously and take part in as many competitions as he can, the 22-year-old recently earned a travelling package to the national Novice Zimbabwe contest which was held in Harare last Saturday, thanks to Mutare businessman, Simba Dube.

The 2022 edition of the Trysupps Novice Zimbabwe, simply referred to as Novice Zimbabwe, was held at the Zimbabwe College of Music in Harare.

Apart from the travelling package, the youngster will also have his training expenses catered for at the upmarket Body Active Gym.

“I am really grateful to the well-wisher, Simba Dube who assisted me in a big way. I never thought anyone will be ready to assist in a short space of time. He sponsored me with gym fees, catered for my expenses to the Novice Zimbabwe competition held in Harare and also promised to support me in anything related to my career.

“When I granted your newspaper an interview about my intentions to take part in as many contests as I can, I just thought assistance would take long to come my way. I really thank God for blessing me with people like Simba Dube. I fully understand that the only way to repay their faith is working extra hard in the gym and ensuring that I get to the best of my ability,” said Ngaru.

In the Novice Zimbabwe Junior Men category, Ngaru settled for third position behind Harare-based Total Fitness Gym bodybuilder, Stephen Maponga and second placed and Gweru’s Action Dynamic Gym’s Stanslous Chirenje.

Tsungi Chakawuya of Pro-Fitness Health Club in Harare won the coveted Senior Men’s contest.

Bulawayo-based Shyleen Nyathi, who trains at a Bodyworks Gym, was the Women Fitness Development category winner.
