A 24-year-old Bulawayo man appeared in court today charged with attempted murder after he allegedly assaulted a complainant with a brick once on the head.
Michael Mureri of Pumula Old appeared before Western Commonage regional magistrate, Mr Pasipanodya Maturure, and was remanded in custody to May 22.
Prosecutor, Ms Melissa Dube, said the complainant and the accused person are not related. She told how on April 18, 2026, at around 11 PM at Pumula Old Shops, the accused person assaulted Ian Zulu (27) with a brick once on the head following a misunderstanding.
The complainant was rushed to hospital for medical attention, she said.
A police report was made, leading to the arrest of the accused person.
