Former top model and singer Vanessa Sibanda’s hit single, “Agenda” is topping the list as the most downloaded song on iTunes. The amassed more than 4000 hits in two days after its release. The video was shot in Rosebank, South Africa and is set to hit the small screens next year on satellite television channels such as Channel O, Trace and MTV Base. The song features Da Les, L-Tido and AB Crazy. In an interview, Vanessa affectionately as “Queen Vee” was ecstatic about the popularity of the song.
“I feel happy and honoured at the same time having such rave reviews and hits in a short space of time. To me that is the earliest Christmas gift from my fans,” she said.
Queen Vee said the song was about having fun in the club after a day long work. “I was inspired by fun much to have such song. I think it pays to do the right thing at the right time. The song was directed by Buffalo Souljah who is also my manager, produced by Thaiwanda with some choreography from Vintage Crew dancers of Mafikizolo fame,” she said.
However in a bid to promote the song, Queen Vee has launched a competition to her fans that will see them walking way with US$1 000 richer.
“The competition is for those that follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook page under the name @queenvee_263. All they have to do is to upload a video clip of themselves singing or dancing to my song Agenda and upload them on my social networks. They can also post on my manager too @buffalosouljah1 and whoever has the best video will walk away richer with US$1 000,” she said.
Queen Vee said the winner will be announced on Channel O on January 16, 2015, same day of my video date release.
The queen of R’n’B will perform the song live for the first time this coming Friday in Bulawayo alongside Oskido, Kalawa Jazmee and Buffalo Souljah.
