JOY and excitement was written all over the faces of Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) winners, Ace (real name Nkanyiso Khumalo), 24 and Ntombi (full name Ntombifuthi Tshabalala), 22.
The Soweto couple, who are now millionaires after scooping the R2 million prize money, vowed money would not change their relationship.
“We decided to hustle together?.?.?. I don’t think money will ever change who we’re or our love for each other,” said Ntombi.
The two were a ball of energy during a Press conference held at the Red Pepper Studios, Johannesburg, South Africa after they were announced the 2015 winners.
In true Ntombi style, she said: “Tjo, tjo, I’m so happy?.?.?. I don’t know what to say. I didn’t expect this. It came as a huge surprise and a shock to me.”
Ace said they needed time to think about what they would do with the money before thanking fans who voted for them.
“I want to better my life and my family’s life. I want to change the world slowly but surely.”
He said he also dreams about being a community leader and helping those around him.
During the show, the pair, who have a son together, repeatedly spoke about getting married. Asked if those plans would still be happening, Ntombi said: “We’re still young and it’s best to be with one person. We both come from families where both our parents are married and are still together. We would like our son to grow up the same way.
“A wedding is definitely on the cards.”
Yolisa Pahle, M-Net South Africa chief executive officer said she hopes Ace and Ntombi will grab each and every opportunity that comes to them, as last year’s winners Mandla and his girlfriend Lexi did. — DailySun/Showbiz Reporter.
