Raiderz beat Pistons

weekend.
The Dzivarasekwa side, who enjoyed home advantage, defeated Pistons 83-72.
However, it was a different story for their women’s side as they went down to Pistons 28-35.
Raiderz team manger, Martin Mukweva, was happy with the men’s team performance as they registered their third consecutive win since the season started early this month.

“The games were okay but the weather affected us because the rains slowed us down.
“The guys played pretty well with our senior players like Norest Shenje doing well.
“The men’s game was tough, we won by 11 points and that’s a message that Pistons have a good squad.

“It’s a youthful team and they are talented. We have quite an experienced squad and playing at home was an advantage,” said Mukweva.
Mukweva, however, said they need to work more with the women’s team as they have not been meeting regularly for practice.
“We have not been training as a team because some of the players have other commitments, so we need to put them together again,” said Mukweva.

Pistons coach Webster Mangwende applauded his charges for their performance.
