MTOUZ national director Mthokozisi Masuku said: “We’re ramping up preparations for Saturday’s finale and I’m glad to say everything is moving in the right direction. We’ve just unveiled our adjudicating panel, which I’m proud of. The contestants are ready, and we can’t wait to crown our new queen,” he said.
The judging panel features a diverse mix of expertise, ensuring the event remains aligned with its mission of empowerment and inclusivity. Judges include Quinn Sowa, Founder and Director of Rugare Medical Renal Unit; Langelihle Sibanda, former Miss Universe Zimbabwe 1996 and founder of House of Langa; Anitta Neshiri, founder and president of Girl Talk Zimbabwe; Sicelo Dube (The STEMLady), renowned scientist and educator; Sindiso Ndlovu, entrepreneur and model; Hildah Mabu, former pageant queen; Manny Nkiwane, entrepreneur and IT professional; and Mitchelle Tshuma, philanthropist and founder of Hope Restorers Academy.
A unique highlight of the finale is the locally-designed crown, “Maribwe”, created by the Women in Gemstones Association of Zimbabwe (WIGAZ).
The pageant has drawn strong support from local organisations, creatives, and partners. Open to teenage girls aged 15 to 20, MTOUZ aims to go beyond beauty, providing a platform for advocacy and leadership while celebrating culture, heritage, and talent.
“This is not just a show, but a movement that helps shape the confidence and purpose of the girl child,” added Masuku.
