Ramsey sidelined

LONDON. — Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a thigh injury. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed the news ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Crystal Palace having said earlier in the week that the Welsh midfielder had suffered a setback in his recovery to an injury suffered at the end of December. Ramsey was one of the stand-out performers in the first half of the season and Wenger said he is keen to bring in someone before the transfer deadline as cover for both Ramsey’s injury and Mathieu Flamini’s suspension. “We are still trying to bring one body in because of Ramsey’s setback and Flamini’s suspension,” he was quoted on Arsenal’s Twitter feed. — Sky Sports.
