UPCOMING rapper Livingstone ‘Lil Ink’ Jenje says he is better than Voltz JT and Probeatz.
The 24 year-old rapper, who is based in the capital, told H-Metro that his style of rap, and delivery, was unmatched, compared to the rappers he has challenged.
“I am challenging JT and Probeatz.
“Firstly, because I can and don’t get me wrong, they produce good music and they are good.
“But, I’m better.
“It’s just the lack of fame, and opportunity, which is ensuring that my music isn’t reaching many people as it should be.
“I have better delivery, stage performance, voice and people are quick to react to my music despite being underground.”
Lil Ink said his dream was to go international and to be the first Zim hip hop artist to break many barriers in the music industry.
“My vision is to become the very best hip hop artist in Zimbabwe, going international, providing entertainment for the youth, middle aged and the elderly as well.
“I want to be an icon and the voice of the voiceless and uplifting talents because I understand the struggle personally as I’m going through it.
“And, there are many going through the same,” said Lil Ink.
He believes Zim hip hop is growing.
“Zimbabwean hip hop is coming out and being recognised now.
“I believe I can take it further, given the spotlight, as my sound and craft is better and different.
“My music speaks for itself.
“I also want to grow professionally and financially,” he told H-Metro.
He has an EP titled La Storm.
He also has a singles collection with tracks such as Ma Chills, Ma Notes, Ndisina Bag and others.
