RAPPER Allan “Drena Diego” Sandako has made a comeback with a six-track EP titled Order of Service detailing his life experiences.
The EP is a breakdown of how the world works according to his perspective.
“The six songs are like prayers from different people and different scenarios of life and their understanding of life.
“Through this song, I want people to realise that we don’t have to live like it’s the last day.
“They should get rid of the ‘You Only Live Once’ mentality,” he said.
Drena hopes to use his EP to help change people’s lives.
“I hope I can reach people in the same situation as I was because I got to a point where I had to write something like this EP to help me through what I was going through.
“With this EP, I hope I will be able to help someone get through something they are struggling with when they listen to the songs,” said Drena.
He added:
“The EP talks of both sides of Harare, the bad and the good, the guilty and the innocent, the rich and the poor and how I’m caught up in the middle trying to decide where I stand.
“It also looks at how I have been away from God and how I have realised that the more I run away from God the more I make the devil happier.
“It also encourages people not to look back because that moment you look back is when your past catches up with you.
“I have dreadlocks and people look at me weirdly and instantly judge me, but just because my hair is nappy doesn’t mean I’m a bad person.”
Drena released his first song at the age of 13 titled New Girl, which features the rapper Eazzy Maps.
The song received a lot of critics and Drena decided to take time off to perfect his flows and song writing skills.
